Early multilingualism – frühe Mehrsprachigkeit

This course provides an overview of early multilingualism by focusing on how children acquire languages and how we can best support them in their language development. We will discuss language acquisition and development of all languages involved, such as the children’s first, second and third languages. We will also reflect on the role of these languages including family languages, immersion languages and the societal majority language.

While this course will mostly be conducted in English, the use of other languages is welcome and encouraged.
